April Theme - Nature's Patterns
For this first week of our new month, April, our theme is nature’s patterns.
We are going to spend some time drawing and painting with watercolours, focusing on an ocean-inspired landscape. In particular, we will be looking closely at ocean waves.
Nature is full of beautiful, repeating patterns, and it can be such a joy to slow down and really notice them. We will explore the rhythms of the water, the suggestion of scales, the different textures, and those repeating shapes that appear again and again.
For this first session, we will be painting ocean waves in watercolour. You might also like to have something opaque white to hand, such as a white gel pen, a white acrylic paint pen, or a little gouache or acrylic paint,…
