Wobbly Fantasy Houses – A Line and Wash Art Course Come and join me in this playful and imaginative class where we draw colourful fantasy houses in my wobbly travel sketching style. I started drawing like this on buses and trains during my travels. The movement made my lines a little wobbly – but I soon realised that was part of the magic! In this course, we embrace the wonky. We use waterproof fineliners and watercolour paints to create lively little scenes where the paint is free to spill outside the lines. There is no need for rulers or perfect perspectives here. Wobbly lines, crooked chimneys, and dancing rooftops are all welcome. This is a gentle and joyful way to loosen up, use your imagination, and have fun with your sketchbook. Perfect for beginners or anyone who wants to bring more play into their art. Materials: 1. Sketchbook or Watercolour Paper Choose a sketchbook you enjoy using. Watercolour paper is best, as it can handle the paint. 2. Waterproof Fineliner We will draw our houses with a black waterproof pen. Any size is fine, but I like something between 0.3 and 0.8. 3. Watercolour Paints Bring a small set of colours you love. Bright, bold, soft or earthy – anything goes! Pans or tubes both work well. 4. Paintbrushes A couple of round brushes will be perfect. I use a small brush for details and a medium one for larger areas. 5. Water Pot and Cloth or Tissue For rinsing your brush and dabbing up any extra water. 6. Pencil and Eraser (Optional) You can sketch your house lightly in pencil first if you like.
