Line & Wash Courses
In these courses, I will show you a technique I absolutely love called line and wash. The line is a waterproof ink drawing, and the wash is watercolour layered over the top.
By combining the two, you get the structure and guidance of a drawing, alongside the softness and movement of the paint. It is a beautiful balance that helps your watercolour feel more confident, expressive, and much easier to control, while still keeping that lovely sense of flow.

I really love drawing and painting animals, and I know many of you do too. There is something so grounding about observing the natural world and bringing it to life on the page.

I absolutely love working with landscapes, and watercolour is often my medium of choice for them. It is a wonderful space to play with colour, atmosphere, and mood, and to gently shift what you see into something that feels more personal.
Not everything needs to be a direct copy of reality. Instead, you can begin to interpret what is in front of you and bring your own feeling and perspective into the work.I love that balance between observation and imagination, where you can still recognise a place, but it is filtered through your own artistic voice.
