A Beginner's Guide to Selling Your Art Online: Free Download
Have you ever dreamed of sharing your art with the world? Maybe you've wondered if selling your art online could be the next step in your creative journey. I remember feeling the same way when I started—excited but completely unsure where to begin. Over time, I learned the ropes, and now I’m here to help you do the same.
That’s why I’ve created A Beginner's Guide to Selling Your Art Online. It’s a free resource that combines my personal journey with practical advice and tools to help you get started. Whether you’re a hobbyist looking to share your work or an artist ready to grow your audience, this guide is for you.
This guide is not intended to be an exhaustive manual. Instead, it draws on my personal experiences, the research I did, and the lessons I learned when I was starting out. While I no longer focus on selling much of my art, I’ve shifted my energy toward teaching online courses—both art and business-focused—because it feels more aligned with who I am. Teaching allows me to connect with people, share knowledge, and inspire others, and that has become the heart of what I do.
That being said, selling art was a deeply rewarding part of my journey, and I know many people either cherish or aspire to that experience. For those who are more introverted, selling art can be an especially fitting and fulfilling path. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but at a certain point, it was simply time for me to move in a new direction. I still sell original paintings and do commissions when they align but it is not the main focus of my business anymore.
Why Selling Your Art Online is Worth It
When I started selling my art online, I quickly realised it was about so much more than making sales. Sharing your art can connect you with people across the world, bring recognition to your work, and even give you the confidence to grow as an artist. It’s a deeply rewarding journey, and I want to help you experience it too.
Imagine this: your first sale arrives in your inbox, and you realise someone out there loves your work enough to invest in it. It’s a feeling like no other. Whether you’re selling to supplement your income, fund your art supplies, or simply share your creativity, this guide will give you the tools to take that first step.
A Sneak Peek at the Checklist
The guide includes a checklist to keep you on track as you build your online presence. Here are just a couple of steps you’ll find:
