Creative Community life session - June - Picnic Theme

Hi my lovely creatives, 

The theme for June in our creative community is picnic. 

Materials:

I will be using colour pencils but in todays session you can join in with materials of your choice. 

However, unless you have practices with paints before I would suggest a dry medium (crayons, pencils, pen, charcoal) as this is not a painting class specifically and although I will be able to answer some questions, the class is aimed at drawing and expirimenting with form and shape.

reference/topic: 

In this session we will draw an object from our own homes, relating to picnic.

Have a look in your cupboards and see if you have something fun or interesting that you could use as a reference. 

Maybe it is an old thermal pot from your nan that you still use to take tea in, maybe you have a blanket with a pattern that inspires you or perhaps a set of wineglasses and a bottle are what you want to draw. Maybe you want to draw something to eat. a piece of fruit or a cake. Maybe you have a photo of a location where you have a spacial memory off that you would like to use as a reference today. 

whatever it is, bring it with you to the creative session. 

I created a folder with reference photo's on pinterest, you may want to have a look before the event to see what you would like to draw. if you find it hard to find something in your home, have a look there and see if you can find inspiration on pinterest.
