ONLINE -Lunchtime Mindful Gouache and watercolour Painting Workshop
Today we are painting these tigers in gouache which will give a thick vibrant and layered look. You can also join in using watercolours for a softer look. I do not think we will paint the background. I will share the reference picture on screen and in the chat on zoom at the beginning of the class.

Watercolour and Gouache are super versatile mediums and perfect for Painting beginners.
I particularly love how colours can be mixed and blended within this medium and how effects can be created by adding more or less water to the paint. In some classes I will use gouache in a layered style and in some classes watercolour paint. The class description will tell you what paint I will use. You can always join in by using watered down gouache for the watercolour classes or watercolour paint when in the gouache classes. My aim is that everyone can join in so please let me know if you have any questions.
In each class we will use a different reference picture which we paint together.
I will share the reference picture in the chat in zoom at the start of the class.
We will learn the wet on wet as well as the wet on dry techniquque and we practice to layer our gouache.
My Materials:
- HB Sketch pencil and erasor.
- Winsor and Newton Designers Gouache*
- Bockingford Watercolour paper 300 GSM*
- Watercolour Brush set*
You can also join the class using regular watercolour paint or even acrylic paints.
However, you will get most out of the tutorials if you use gouache or watercolour paint.
