Wonky house 2 of wobbly house 2nd class. The ink. I wanted to include a hint of the other houses, but I really wanted the subject hotel to stand out. Maybe the contrast is too stark? Maybe instead of grey I should use a very think black liner (.005?). What do you all suggest? I was thinking of making the hotel the aqua green and put a very very light wash of pink of the other two houses. I think it would make the Hotel pop more than leaving the other buildings white. Looking for suggestions lol.

I think Janes suggestion of painting it in stages is a great idea and taking photo's during the process is something I used to do myself a lot when I started to draw/paint. Ways of making the middle house pop is by using bright colours for the main one and muted colours for the outer ones. I don't think the contrast in pens (black vs grey) is too stark. You can also only paint the main house and just let the colours bleed out onto the ones next to it. You can watch my painting video first and then turn it off and paint yours without looking at mine - to get some ideas but still do your own thing.
