What a difference a year makes
It’s just a few days over a year since I signed up to Irene's "Week of art and inspiration ". I was an absolute beginner, I didn’t even own any watercolours and had to create them by scribbling a watercolour crayon onto acetate and picking the colour up with a waterbrush. I couldn’t draw and I couldn’t paint.
Now, after a year of belonging to the community, doing the weekly sessions although I can’t join in live, so I usually do them at the weekend, and doing several of Irene's courses, I am developing my skills and loving all the ideas and inspiration I get here.
The photos are of the very first picture I made for the week of art and inspiration, and of a ducking I drew this week, which drew on the skills I have learned in the coloured pencil course and the pencil lessons we have done in the community. I am delighted with how far I have come, and enjoyed every step of the journey so far.

Wow Jane, Thank you for sharing this! I am so glad to have you as such a wonderful supportive presence here and I am so proud of your art journey! 🥰
