Quite happy with the first although his eyes are a bit close together making him look angry, but I'm not sure what went wrong with the second, he came out looking more like a sheep! I used black ballpoint pen

I think they look great, capturing the right expression and shape is hard, sometimes you cannot see what to change until you taken some time to do something else for a moment. Our minds like to draw what we ‘think’ we see and notenbar we ‘actually’ see. So your cat from memory sneaking in and appearing is not so strange at all ❤️🐈
It’s actually a great quality our brains have, to fill in gaps and make connections. It sometimes just gets in the way of sketching 🥰
