We will create a glowing candle and play with warm and cool colours. The background will be wet-on-wet, so expect soft blends, and we will explore the magic of light and dark.

This is our first October live session and the theme for this month is light and dark. We begin at 6 p.m. UK time on Zoom.

• A sketchbook or loose watercolour paper
