Hi everyone,

I have now uploaded the recording from last night's class. I thought it was such a fun session, and I really hope you enjoyed experimenting with the yellow underlayer.

Starting with an underpainting can feel playful and freeing, and it is such a helpful way to get going, especially on days when you are struggling to start or do not feel quite as creative as usual. Taking away that blank white page can make such a difference.

If you have a go at the project, I would love to see what you create. Please do share your artwork in the community, as it is always wonderful to see how differently everyone interprets the same reference image.

Next week, we will be pretending that we are sitting in a café and sketching our surroundings. We will be drawing people alongside the environment around them, and I think it is going to be a wonderfully playful and slightly messy session.
