🍂 Welcome to November – A Month of Stories! ✨
Hello lovely creatives,
As the days grow shorter and the nights longer, I always think of how, through history, these months were a time for sharing stories around the fire. I absolutely love this tradition, and this month we’re celebrating it through our art.
Tonight we’re starting with Folk Tales and Forest Magic. We’ll be painting a misty forest in watercolours, and at the end, I’ll add a little red fox in gouache or coloured pencil to bring a pop of character to the scene.

Here’s what you’ll need for tonight’s session:
Watercolour paints
Paintbrushes
Pencil (for sketching)
Coloured pencils or gouache (optional, for the red fox at the end)
Water container
Paper or sketchbook suitable for watercolour
Hairdryer (to help create the misty effect)
Paper towel or cloth (for blotting)
🖌 Looking ahead this month:
Next week: Tales from Around the Fire – line and gouache
Week after: Symbols of the Story – drawing a hair symbol of curiosity in coloured pencil
Final week: The Storyteller’s Table – painting in gouache or mixed media
Classes are every Thursday evening, 6–7:30 p.m. UK Time on Zoom, suitable for all levels. I’ll guide you step by step, so you can relax, enjoy, and create something beautiful.
I can’t wait to paint with you and see what stories you bring to life!
💛 Irene
