Peacock feathers

Couldn't get colour pencils to work over the oil pastel - just dragged the colour off! Maybe I'm putting the crayon on too thickly? In the end I used acrylic brush markers to try and create the impression of fronds - with limited success!😁

I really like the light lines, it’s creates a lovely feathery effect! Sometimes you have to pressing your pencils quite hard to get them to work on oil pastels. I sometimes scrape away the pastel first and then the pencil works on the paper in that area.
